104 - Twists and Spoilers



  • Twist: We don't play Settlers of Catan this episode.
  • Spoiler: We play off camera. In a closely contested game with three people angling to win in the final round, Rod wins with a big assist from Eric.

103 - We Play Settlers of Catan, You Listen, Again



  • The title states it all. Eric, Rod, Christina, & Ward play Settlers of Catan, the popular board game.
  • Back by popular demand, Catan is on the table.
  • I don't want to ruin two hours of suspense, but Ward wins the game. During his final turn he builds a city and reveals (2) victory point development cards, adding to his (2) settlements and (2) cities. 
  • Here is the game board after the game concluded. The image has been altered slightly to remove (2) errant cities that appeared during cleanup. Ward is orange, Christina is white, Eric is red, Rod is blue.
  • Vengeance is vowed next week, as consecutive victories will not stand.

102 - We Play Settlers of Catan, You Listen



  • The title states it all. Eric, Rod, Christina, & Ward play Settlers of Catan, the popular board game.
  • Settlers of Catan is considered a gateway game. It's skill based, a bridge between the simple luck based board games and the more complex board games that scare people. It's a staple for any board game loving enthusiast, but only those with true grit and we are chock full of that, man!
  • Christina has played the game many times, Ward and Eric just a few, with Rod falling somewhere in between... or so they claim.
  • I don't want to ruin two hours of suspense, but Ward wins the game, quietly flying under the radar under until the concluding round. His point total includes (4) cities and (2) settlements.
